JAWF, July 28 (YPA) – Armed clashes broke out between tribal gunmen from the ‘Al-Mahashimah’ tribe and personnel inside the Saudi-backed “7th Brigade” camp on the outskirts of Yemen’s Jawf province near the border region.
The move came after military leaderships’ refusal to restore deductions made from the personnel’s monthly financial entitlements.
Informed sources reported that the situation escalated from verbal arguments into direct clashes after the recruited tribesmen refused orders to detain them inside the camp on charges of “incitement.”
Tensions continue to loom over the area amid an escalation by the armed tribesmen demanding their full financial dues, with no casualties reported so far.
