Iran warns of blocking ships of states or companies benefiting from frozen assets

TEHRAN, July 28 (YPA) – An Iranian military spokesman warned on Tuesday that the country’s armed forces will prevent vessels belonging to any state or company that benefits from Iran’s frozen assets from transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement, the spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said that any country or company receiving funds derived from Iran’s frozen assets would not be permitted to send its ships through the strategic waterway.

He also warned U.S. President Donald Trump against using Iran’s frozen assets to compensate ships that have allegedly sustained damage, cautioning of the consequences of such a move.
