Yemen U-17s face decisive clash against South Korea for Asian quarter-final spot

JEDDAH, May 13 (YPA) – The Yemeni U-17 national team faces a decisive encounter this Wednesday evening against South Korea at the “Heroes Stadium” in Jeddah, in the final round of Group C of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup.

Yemen enters the match with 3 points, aiming for a victory to secure direct qualification to the quarter-finals and continue its journey toward the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.

Meanwhile, South Korea leads the group with 4 points and needs only a draw to advance.

For his part, coach Haitham Al-Asbahi confirmed the team’s technical and mental readiness to overcome the group leaders, relying on the fighting spirit shown by the players in their recent victory over the UAE.
