BEIRUT, April 19 (YPA) – Field sources in Southern Lebanon reported a series of violations of the ceasefire agreement by Israeli occupation forces on Sunday, including artillery shelling, sweeping operations, and land clearing across several border points.
According to the sources, the towns of Al-Qusayr and Adchit al-Qusayr were targeted by artillery shells launched from tanks stationed in Deir Siriane. Simultaneously, Israeli forces conducted sweeping fire toward the Azrail district in Kfar Chouba, as well as the Al-Qantara and Deir Siriane areas.
Other field violations included targeting civilians with gunfire directed at farmers in the Sahl al-Mari area, engineering operations of controlled explosions carried out in the towns of Shamaa and Al-Qantara, and continued bulldozing and excavation activities in several frontline villages.
These movements come amid local and international scrutiny regarding the commitment to the established truce, as field tensions persist along the border.
