Israeli occupation forces conduct military exercise in Eilat

OCCUPIED QUDS, Feb. 13 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army conducted a military exercise in the Red Sea resort city of Eilat, amid escalating tensions between Iran and the United States and Washington’s increased military presence in the Middle East.

The United States and the Israeli occupation accuse Iran of seeking to develop nuclear weapons, while Tehran insists that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, including generating electricity.

The Hebrew newspaper Maariv said on Thursday that the exercise was carried out in the Eilat and Wadi Araba regions (south), and aimed to simulate scenarios that the military establishment describes as among the “worst” possible.

The newspaper quoted an unnamed military source as saying that the army is training for “extremely dangerous scenarios” it might face.

According to the newspaper, the possible scenarios include missile attacks on Eilat and its surrounding areas.
