US deploys two fighter squadrons to “Israel” amid escalating tensions with Iran

OCCUPIED QUDS, Sept. 30 (YPA) –The United States has deployed two fighter jet squadrons to “Israel,” according to Israeli media, amid reports that Israeli security forces are preparing for a possible resumption of military hostilities with Iran.

Israel’s Channel 12 reported Monday that the aircraft had arrived as regional tensions escalated, adding that Israeli defense officials were preparing for a possible surge in hostilities.

The deployment is part of ongoing US military support for “Israel”, including munitions, equipment, aerial refueling capabilities and logistical support.

Earlier in the conflict, around 50 US military cargo aircraft landed in “Israel,” delivering more than 1,000 tons of weapons and military equipment.

US forces are also reportedly positioning additional aerial refueling tankers in the region to support expanded operational readiness.

In the latest indication of Washington’s support, reports said the US administration is finalizing a $2.8 billion weapons package for “Israel”, including tens of thousands of bombs and warheads.
