Iran is seriously considering closing strategic Strait of Hormuz

TEHRAN, June 14 (YPA) – Iran’s official news agency reported that Esmail Kowsari, a member of the Iranian parliament’s Security and Defense Committee, stated that “Iran is seriously considering the option of closing the strategic Strait of Hormuz.”

The Strait of Hormuz, which lies between Oman and Iran, is one of the world’s most important shipping lanes for oil, according to Reuters.

In a related development, Israeli occupation launched an attack on Iran early Friday morning using warplanes and drones smuggled into Iran.

The Iranian military announced Saturday that the launched drones successfully hit their targets in “Israel”.

A Revolutionary Guards advisor also indicated that the military operation targeted 150 points linked to the occupation.
