Sanaa issues decision to ban squid fishing in Red Sea region

SANAA, June 14 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources issued a decision to ban the squid fishing during the fishing season in the Red Sea region.

The ministry said that the decision would start from June 14, 2025, until further notice.

It called on the General Authority for Red Sea Fisheries to inventory the quantities of squid storing in processing laboratories, storage refrigerators, and fishery facilities.

The ministry stressed that anyone who violates the items of this decision would be punished.
