Hezbollah issues initial statement regarding wireless devices’ explosion

BEIRUT, Sept. 17 (YPA) – Lebanon’s Hezbollah issued an initial statement regarding the bombing of several wireless devices in Lebanon, which has resulted in the injury of 1,200 people so far.

At almost 3:30 pm on Tuesday 09-17-2024, a number of message receiving devices known as “pagers” were exploded, which were owned by a number of workers in various Hezbollah units and institutions, the statement said.

“Hezbollah’s competent authorities are currently conducting a wide-ranging security and scientific investigation to determine the causes that led to these simultaneous explosions,”
the statement added. “Medical and health services are also treating the wounded and injured in a number of hospitals in various Lebanese regions.”

It wished a speedy recovery for the wounded and injured, calling on citizens to be aware of the rumors and false and misleading information some parties are spreading in a way that serves the psychological war in the interest of the Zionist enemy.

The statement stressed that the resistance, at all levels and units, is at the highest level of readiness to defend Lebanon and its steadfast people.
