Ireland provides 4 million euros to support education of children, families in Palestine

SANAA, July 05 (YPA) – The Irish government announced a new aid package worth €4 million to support children’s education and public services in Palestine.

In a statement, the Irish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that €3 million will be allocated to children’s education, €700,000 Ato human rights organizations, and €300,000 to support public services and families in need.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Simon Harris, stressed that “supporting schools is a fundamental pillar of Ireland’s long-standing partnership with Palestine,” pointing to continued support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to provide distance learning to some 300,000 children in Gaza.
