Lebanese Ministry of Health announces toll of deaths, injuries from cyberattack

BEIRUT, Sept. 17 (YPA) – The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the death of eight people and the injury of 2,750, including 200 in critical condition, as a result of the cyber attack.

The Lebanese Minister of Health in the caretaker government, Firas Al-Abyad, said in a press conference that the victims are distributed among 100 hospitals in various Lebanese regions.

For his part, the Lebanese Minister of Information called on the United Nations to assume its responsibilities regarding the cyber attack that Lebanon was subjected to.

It is widely believed that the Zionist entity is behind the cyber attack that targeted Lebanese citizens by remotely detonating wireless communications devices, with the aim of “neutralizing as many Lebanese resistance cadres as possible,” according to observers, as part of the Israeli occupation’s preparations to carry out a large-scale military operation against Lebanon.
