Vatican Pope condemns killing of Palestinian children in Gaza

VATICAN, Sept. 14 (YPA) – Pope Francis, the Pope of the Vatican, condemned the killing of Palestinian children in Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip and described the bombing of schools there as a “heinous act.”

Pope Francis added, in an interview with reporters on Friday, before his return from Singapore to Rome, “I feel sorry about the killing of children. I think they are not taking serious steps to bring about peace.”

With absolute American support, since October 7, the Israeli occupation has been waging a devastating war on Gaza, which has left more than 136,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and deadly famine.
