Al-Qaeda says one of its member killed in Marib

MARIB, March 30 (YPA) – Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) has claimed the death of one of its members in an attack on the Yemeni army forces ( Sana’a forces)  in Marib province in eastern Yemen.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on al-Qaeda’s statement .

“Korban bin Mubarak al-Obaidi, Abu Hatem al-Marbi, was killed during an attack on the “ Houthis”  east of Al-Balq in Marib,” al-Qaeda said in an obituary released  on Wednesday.

This is new evidence of al-Qaeda’s continued fighting alongside Islah and Hadi’s forces in the battles in Marib.
