Al-Beidh: ‘Aden’s corruption is coalition-sponsored complex network’

ADEN, Aug. 07 (YPA) – Southern politician Hani Al-Beidh has revealed the complex corruption networks that exist based on overlapping interests in the city of Aden and the coalition-controlled southern regions.

Al-Beidh stated in a post on X on Tuesday that the corruption network was not a passing phenomenon, but rather a complex system in which multiple parties were implicated, from previous governments affiliated with the coalition, to the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC), and all the way to corrupt forces supported and sponsored by regional countries.

He pointed out that successive governments backed by coalition were not innocent of corruption, but they turned a blind eye or silently participated in dubious deals that squandered public funds.

Al-Beidh added that the coalition countries, which he described as regional partners, had turned a blind eye to everything that was happening, prioritizing their own interests over the stability of those regions.

He noted that these countries were content with managing the crises based on the political, economic, and humanitarian repercussions, without any serious will to address the root causes of all the chronic problems.
