SANAA, Aug. 07 (YPA) – The Yemeni ban on Israeli shipping has caused significant losses to the Israeli economy.
This was acknowledged by the Hebrew media and acknowledged by research institutes in “Israel”, including the Israeli Institute for National Security Studies, which said in a report on Wednesday that the ongoing naval attacks by the Ansarullah group since the outbreak of the war in Gaza have increased the duration of sea voyages between Asia and “Israel” from 18-20 to 35-45 days.
According to the institute, the Israeli interests in the Red Sea have been directly threatened, after the group became a field player with the ability to exert strategic influence, including targeting ships linked to or bound for “Israel”.
In July, Sanaa forces sank two ships, the Magic Seas and the Eternity Sea, after they attempted to break the blockade on the port of Umm al-Rashrash, known as Eilat.
The Sanaa forces called on all ship-owning and operating companies, the maritime community, and local residents to refrain from dealing with the Israeli entity to ensure the safety of ships and their crews.
They emphasized that maritime navigation would be safe for all except the Israeli ships, others bound for occupied Palestinian ports, or those that tries to break the embargo until the aggression and blockade on Gaza be ended.
