Venezuelan Vice President: Boycott Lavrov’s Speech in the Human Rights Council incites hatred

SANAA, March 02 (YPA) – Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez said boycotting Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s speech at the Human Rights Council in Geneva, has been seen as an incitement to hatred and intolerance towards Russia.

“In Human Rights Council , they show hatred and intolerance towards Russia and promote it,” Rodríguez wrote on Twitter.

That’s what those responsible for provoking the crisis in Ukraine are doing.”

“Venezuela joins advocates of dialogue in the name of peace.”

Informed media sources said that representatives of some 40 Western countries left the meeting while Lavrov’s speech was broadcast via video at a meeting of the Human Rights Council.
