Attorney General stresses importance of knowledge of int’l humanitarian law, its application

SANAA, Dec. 19 (YPA) – The Attorney General Judge Nabil Al-Azzani on Saturday stressed the importance of knowledge of international humanitarian law and the requirements for its application on the ground, in light of the violations that Saudi-led coalition commits on a daily basis in Yemen.

This came during the inauguration of the project of training trainers in international humanitarian law and local law, organized by the Yemeni Center for Human Rights, for fifteen trainees from the Ministries of Justice and Interior, the Public Prosecution and lawyers.

Judge Al-Azzani noted to the importance of such projects in developing capacities and getting acquainted with the developments of human rights worldwide and what is included in international humanitarian law and how to apply it.
