Al-Qassam Brigades target new Israeli force east of Rafah as part of operation “Gates of Hell”

GAZA, May 08 (YPA) – The Ezz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas,” announced on Thursday, the implementation of a new qualitative operation targeting an Israeli infantry force in the al-Tannour neighborhood, east of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

This operation is part of a series of operations dubbed “Gates of Hell.”

The Brigades reported in an official statement that its members were able to detonate a highly explosive device targeting the Israeli force, consisting of seven soldiers, as it passed near the Omar bin Abdul Aziz Mosque.

It indicated that its fighters observed the scattered remains of a number of soldiers at the explosion site, which suggests direct injuries among the targeted force.

In the same context, Hebrew media reported that the occupation forces were exposed to four “painful” security incidents in the Gaza Strip in the past hours, including two incidents in the al-Tannour neighborhood in Rafah, one incident in the al-Janina neighborhood in the same city, in addition to an incident east of the Shuja’iyya neighborhood in Gaza City.

The field escalation comes at a time when confrontations continue on several fronts inside the Gaza Strip, amid an “Israeli” military blackout regarding the extent of the losses.
