UAE factions kidnap human rights activist in Mocha

TAIZ, March 26 (YPA) – Human rights activist, Shawqi Ibrahim Hassan Naji, was kidnapped by Emirati factions in the city of Mocha, west of Taiz governorate, after postings in which he criticized the deteriorating living conditions of the people of Tihama.

Local sources confirmed that Naji’s kidnapping, was in response to his harsh criticism of the deteriorating services and economic collapse in Mocha.

Mocha, like other areas under the control of the coalition, is witnessing a severe living crisis due to the economic collapse, rising prices, and deterioration of basic services, without any real action by the government affiliated with the coalition.

Areas under the control of the Emirati factions are witnessing an increase in violations against activists, including kidnappings targeting activists who criticize the disastrous conditions.
