Poet killed in Shabwa

SHABWA, March 26 (YPA) – Popular poet Mohammed Ahmed Ahkami Al-Dayani was killed, on Tuesday, by gunmen in Shabwa governorate, which is witnessing unprecedented security chaos.

A local source confirmed that the poet Al-Dayani was killed because of a family dispute between him and his cousin, which ended with him being shot, amid a deliberate security vacuum in Shabwa, which is controlled by Emirati factions.

Assassinations and tribal conflicts have been increasing in Shabwa amid a complete absence of state authorities since the beginning of 2016.
