Hamas reveals details of Israeli occupation violations in Gaza

GAZA, Mar. 03 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” documented on Monday the Israeli occupation’s violations of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, accusing the occupation and its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of seeking to resume aggression against the Palestinians.

Osama Hamdan, a leader in the Hamas movement, said during a press conference that the occupation tried to thwart the agreement through violations that include preventing the entry of 50 fuel trucks daily, aid and materials allocated for reconstruction, as it brought in only 15 mobile homes out of the 60,000 agreed upon.

The violations also included the killing of 116 Palestinians and preventing the entry of heavy equipment to remove rubble and extract bodies, and allowing the entry of only nine vehicles while the need exceeds 500.

Hamdan pointed to the occupation’s obstruction of the entry of building materials and hospital rehabilitation supplies, as only five ambulances entered, while preventing medical equipment and civil defense devices and operating the power station. The occupation also stopped the entry of cash and refused to update damaged banknotes.

On the ground, Hamdan spoke about the continued daily incursion, especially south of Rafah, exceeding the agreed distances by 300-500 meters, which led to the demolition of homes, the bulldozing of land, and the killing of civilians.

He emphasized other violations such as the delay in withdrawing from specific areas, preventing the return of displaced persons, and obstructing the activity of fishermen by arresting and shooting them.

Field violations reached 962 cases, including 116 martyrs, 490 wounded, 210 violations by aircraft, 77 shooting operations, 37 shelling and targeting, and the detention of five drivers and fishermen.

Reconnaissance and ammunition aircraft violated the prohibitions daily for periods of up to 12 hours, with the occupation delaying the release of prisoners despite the agreement. The release of the last batch of prisoners was prevented for five days, and those released were forced to wear clothes with racist connotations.

The occupation did not announce the names of hundreds of prisoners from Gaza, while the prisoners were subjected to humiliation and torture until the moment they were released, and it refused to release the elderly prisoner Siham Abu Salem (70 years old).

Regarding the Rafah crossing, it remained closed, and the occupation prevented the movement of civilians and goods. The occupation also hindered the gradual reduction of its forces in the Philadelphia corridor as agreed upon and continued to penetrate daily. The planned withdrawal was not implemented on day 42 or completed on day 50.

On the political side, the occupation deliberately delayed the second phase negotiations that were supposed to begin 16 days after the signing and is now seeking a new agreement that contradicts what was previously agreed upon.
