OCCUPIED PALESTINE, March 03 (YPA) – The Palestinian documentary film “No Other Land” won the 2025 Oscar for Best Documentary Feature, highlighting the occupation’s displacement of Palestinians.
This victory sparked joy and pride among the audience of Palestinian and Arab social media platforms, but it sparked anger and criticism from the Israeli occupation.
After the announcement of the film’s win, social media platforms witnessed a great deal of interaction, and many activists expressed their joy and pride in this achievement, describing it as reflecting the Palestinian people’s insistence on conveying their cause to the world despite all obstacles.
Others praised the efforts of Adra and his colleagues in conveying the suffering of the residents of Masafer Yatta to the big screen, considering the film to be a victory for the Palestinian narrative globally.
A number of activists also confirmed that “No Other Land” winning the Oscar reflects a shift in how the world receives the Palestinian narrative, pointing out that the film contributed to exposing the crimes of the occupation, including forced displacement and home demolitions.
