Omani plane departs Sanaa airport with crew of ship “Galaxy Leader” onboard

SANAA, Jan. 22 (YPA) – An Omani plane took off from Sanaa International Airport on Wednesday, carrying 25 crew members of the ship “Galaxy Leader.”

The Supreme Political Council in Sanaa earlier today announced the release of the crew of the Galaxy Leader ship, which had been detained on November 19, 2023, in connection with efforts to support Gaza.

The council highlighted that, following coordination with the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas and through the mediation of officials in the Sultanate of Oman, the Yemeni government in Sanaa made the decision to release the detained crew as part of its ongoing stance in support of Gaza.
