SANAA, Aug. 24 (YPA) – The official spokesman for the Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC), Essam Al-Mutawakel, appeared on Sunday evening in a live broadcast from in front of the fuel station on 60th Street in Sanaa, which was targeted by Israeli airstrikes.
Al-Mutawakel confirmed that the amount of fuel consumed by the attacking aircraft was greater than the amount of fuel in the tanks of the targeted station.
In a related context, the company reassured citizens that the supply situation in the free areas (controlled by Sanaa government) is completely stable, confirming that it has taken the necessary measures and precautions for any emergency.
The company also called on citizens to cooperate and report any violations, such as closing stations to create a crisis, raising prices, or refusing to fill up, by calling the toll-free number 8001700.
It is worth noting that the YPC station on 60th Street was subjected to a series of Israeli airstrikes this afternoon, coinciding with other airstrikes targeting the Hizyaz power plant south of the capital.
