Gunmen rob vehicle of Locust Control Department in Abyan

ABYAN, Dec. 30 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen, possibly linked to UAE-funded factions, robbed a vehicle belonging to the Crop Protection and Locust Control Department in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

Gunmen looted a crop spraying vehicle in the Sihan area of the Abyan Delta in Khanfar, according to Saleh Ahmed Al-Hawtri Al-Rowishan, a member of the agricultural committee in Zinjbar, and took it to an unknown location.

He called on the concerned authorities to track down the gunmen and retrieve the car, without disclosing the identities of the robbery’s perpetrators.

Al-Rowishan attributed the security chaos in the province to the interest of officials in the local authorities loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in dividing up taxes addressing the security issue.
