ADEN, Dec. 02 (YPA) – Educational schools in the city of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition, announced on Monday a comprehensive strike in response to a call launched by several educational unions.
Educational sources confirmed that the strike included many schools in the regions of Aden, putting them in complete paralysis, amid teachers’ demands to pay their suspended salaries for the second month in a row.
The sources explained that teachers refused to enter classrooms until their financial dues were paid, indicating that their living conditions had reached a deteriorating state due to the high prices of basic foodstuffs accompanying the economic collapse.
They considered the strike to be a legitimate legal right for teachers to pressure the government to pay their salaries, amid accusations against officials loyal to the coalition of corruption and illegally seizing money and harnessing it for their personal benefit.
