SANAA, Dec. 02 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology warned on Monday of cold weather across Yemen.
In weather forecast, the center affirmed that a cold wave may hit the provinces of Dhamar, Bayda, Sanaa, Amran, Saada, Ibb, Al Dhale’e, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa and Hadramout.
According to the center, the weather in the coastal areas would be generally clear to partly cloudy, with scattered rain falling on parts of the coasts Hadramout, Aden and Hodeida.
The winds will be moderate and active in the southern Red Sea, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab and the Socotra Archipelago, with speeds ranging between 16-26 knots.
The center renewed its warnings to citizens in the aforementioned mountainous areas, especially children, the elderly, and workers during the night and early morning hours, to take the necessary precautions against the cold weather.
