Political disputes in Aden force pro-coalition deputy minister to leave for Cairo

ADEN, Oct. 08 (YPA) – The city of Aden in southern Yemen has witnessed a sharp escalation in political disputes among officials of the government loyal to Saudi-led coalition forces, leading to the departure of the deputy of one of the ministers from the city’s airport.

Informed local sources confirmed that the pro-coalition deputy minister of Youth and Sports, Munir Al-Wajeeh, left Aden after being prevented from entering the ministry building in Sheikh Othman  district following directives from the pro-coalition minister Nayef Al-Bakri, who ordered  the guards not to allow him entry.

Media sources indicated that the disagreements between the minister and his deputy have reached a peak, although specific details about the reasons for the disputes have not been disclosed.

It was noted that Al-Wajeeh sought to file an official complaint with Prime Minister Ahmed Obeid Bin Mubarak; however, this did not prevent him from leaving Aden Airport en route to the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
