Palestinian Health Ministry warns of imminent “Israeli” operation in vicinity of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital

GAZA, Aug. 21 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health warned on Wednesday of the Israeli occupation forces operations approaching from the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the Central Governorate, where thousands of patients are crowded.

The ministry said in a statement, “The Israeli evacuation and military operations areas are now only hundreds of meters away from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, which serves hundreds of thousands of citizens in the Central Governorate, as the hospital is considered the only medical facility in the governorate.”

In its statement, the ministry called on the relevant international institutions to take the necessary measures to protect the hospital, the medical staff, and the patients inside it, at a time when the ministry has no other options or alternatives.

The Israeli occupation forces published a new evacuation map this morning, Wednesday, for several areas in the city of Deir al-Balah, warning residents against being in those areas as they are considered dangerous combat zones.
