GAZA, Aug. 05 (YPA) -The Gaza Civil Defense has announced that 60% of its vehicles have stopped operating across the Strip due to a lack of sufficient fuel and spare parts for maintenance.
In a statement Monday, the Civil Defense said that the fuel provided by some humanitarian and relief organizations is limited, not exceeding 15% of daily needs.
It noted that crews are now combining responses to some daily tasks that do not pose a direct threat to citizens’ lives, while postponing other tasks, putting the Strip on the brink of a major humanitarian disaster.
The Civil Defense warned at the end of last July of a complete shutdown of its vehicles operating in the Gaza Strip, with indications of the depletion of the meager fuel available for its missions.
