Congressional staff launches website to criticize US support for Israel

WASHINGTON, July 30 (YPA) – A group of the US Congress and House staff aides have launched a website where they can post anonymous memos criticizing American support for the Zionist entity in its war on Gaza without risking losing their jobs, according to the American newspaper “The New York Times.”

The forum, known as the Congressional Dissent Channel, was modeled on the State Department’s Foreign Service Employees’ Dissent Channel, organizers said. This channel was created during the Vietnam War, another conflict that opened bitter political divisions in the United States and stimulated a protest movement, especially among young Americans.

The website was launched by the same group of congressional aides and staff who organized a pro-Palestinian strike at the Capitol last week when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at a joint session of Congress.
