Sanaa, Marib authorities reach agreement to open Bayda-Marib road

SANAA, May 15 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister of the Sanaa government, Hussein Al-Ezzi, revealed on Wednesday about a historic agreement between Sanaa and the Islah Party-affiliated authorities in Marib province.

“With a brotherly agreement between Sanaa and Islah in beloved Marib, the Sanaa initiative regarding the road was adopted,” Al-Ezzi said in his account on the “X” platform.

This comes days after the recent initiative presented by Sanaa by the Governor of Marib, Ali Muhammad Toaiman, last Friday to open Bayda – Al-Jawba – Marib city road.

It is worth mentioning that Muhammad Ali Al-Houthi, a member of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, announced on February 22 a unilateral initiative to open the Sanaa-Sarwah-Marib road.

On the other hand, Al-Ezzi stressed that “Sanaa will not hesitate to support the idea of supplying Aden’s electricity with its needs from Marib’s oil.”

He added that “Sanaa will continue to support every effort that shares its affiliation to the country’s soil and that it has enough creative spirit to heal the rift and strengthen the Yemeni front in the face of external danger.”
