President Al-Assad from China: Heading east is a guarantee for Syria

WORLD, Sept. 25 (YPA) – Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said on Monday that China plays a major role in restoring the international balance in the world and considered heading to east is a political, cultural and economic guarantee for Syria.

During his meeting with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang in Beijing, Assad thanked the Chinese government for the support it provided to Syria during the war in general, and during the earthquake in particular, whether humanitarian or political support.

Assad affirmed that China plays a major role in the international arena and in restoring the international balance in this world.

He pointed out that Syria today is more committed to heading east because it is the political, cultural and economic guarantee for it and this is a principle in Syrian politics.
