Israeli prisoners’ families: “Government conditions for reaching prisoner exchange deal are unrealistic”
OCCUPIED QUDS, Aug. 03 (YPA) – The families of Israeli occupation prisoners in the Gaza Strip have escalated their criticism of the government, describing its conditions for reaching a prisoner exchange agreement as “unrealistic” and thwarting any prospect of ending their sons’ suffering.
In a joint statement, they stressed that expanding military operations inside Gaza complicates the issue and threatens the lives of the captured soldiers, warning of the repercussions of such actions on public confidence in the government.
The families called on the public to demonstrate and exert pressure, noting the possibility of achieving a comprehensive agreement to resolve the issue rather than partial deals.
This escalation comes amid faltering truce negotiations, with the government continuing its war and rejecting the Palestinian resistance’s demands for a halt to the aggression and the withdrawal of the army as a condition for any deal.
