Prominent southern activist reveals role of pro-coalition parties in dirty game to divide Yemen

HADRAMOUT, May 17 (YPA) – A leader in the so-called “southern resistance”, accused on Wednesday the UAE and Saudi Arabia of pursuing a plan to divide Yemen.

Southern activist Adel al-Hasani stressed that the project to divide Yemen enjoys legitimacy from Yemeni parties fighting under the banner of the Saudi-led coalition, describing these parties as “paid soldiers”.

The UAE is throwing its military weight to control Hadramout through the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), he said in a tweet.

The UAE entrusted the task of supervising the process of controlling Hadramout to one of its officers, named “Abu Khalifa Saeed Al-Neyadi,” he added.

Al-Hasani indicated that the operations to control Hadramout by the UAE will appear in their clear form starting on Thursday.

Al-Hasani pointed out that the UAE has worked to generously inject funds to Aidarous al-Zubaidi , the head of the STC, to open fake projects in the province.

During the past hours, the UAE has mobilized a large military force from Aden, Dhalea and Lahj to Mukalla, the center of Hadramout province, to secure the event of the so-called “sixth session of the General Assembly of the STC.”
