UAE deploys air defenses on Yemeni-Saudi border

SANAA, Nov. 02 (YPA) – The UAE has deployed air defenses in one of the Saudi regions near the Yemeni border, according to military sources.

Ali Al Kindi, who is interested in military affairs, affirmed that the Russian-made Pantsir-S1 air defense system stationed in the Saudi city of Sharurah.

Al-Kindi pointed out that satellite images showed the presence of Emirati air defenses on the Saudi-Yemeni borders.

“The Saudi system uses Chinese-made Silent Hunter laser air defense systems to intercept targets, in addition to a Chinese-made 3D TWA detection radar,” without mentioning the region in which the system was deployed.

He added that Saudi Arabia’s resort to the Chinese air defense system came after the failure of the rest of the air defense systems to intercept the drones of the Sanaa forces.
Al-Kindi noted that the Sanaa forces’ drones hit the American-made Patriot systems more than once.
