Man wounded in Hadramout gunfire

HADRAMOUT, Aug. 07 (YPA) – A citizen was wounded on Sunday by an unidentified gunman in Wadi Hadramout, eastern Yemen.

Local sources affirmed that one of the unknown gunmen fired a hail of bullets at the citizen, “whose identity has not been revealed,” near Al-Taweelah Park in the center of Seiyun.

The districts of Wadi Hadramout are witnessing a security chaos, amid military tensions between the militants of the “First Military Region”, loyal to the leader of the Saudi-backed Islah party, Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, and the “Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia funded by the UAE, in an attempt to expel the al-Ahmar militants from the districts.
