Iran condemns int’l community’s regrettable silence on Gaza

SANAA, Aug. 07 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Nasser Kanaani, denounced on Sunday the silence of the international community regarding the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

“The silence of the international community and human rights advocates against the crimes of the Zionists in Gaza is unfortunate,” Kanaani wrote on Twitter.

He was surprised by the US State Department’s announcement of its “full support” for Israel’s right to defend itself.

Kanaani added, “It is unfortunate that false human rights advocates support the occupation regime’s daily crimes against the aggrieved Palestinian people under the pretext of self-defense.”
