STC closes Islah charity office in Aden

ADEN, Jul. 30 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias have closed the headquarters of the Charitable Society for Social Welfare in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden.

Sources said that the director of Dar Saad district has instructed the closure of the headquarters of the Society, on the pretexts of monitoring “suspicious activities.”

The Charitable Society for Social Welfare is a non-governmental charity and social organisation that is tied to the Islah Party, which a part of the global Muslim Brotherhood movement.

The directives detailed that the society should not no longer be worked with, and that it should not be allowed to enter any government facility.

The sources reporting the news stated that the closure of other offices of the Society in other districts of Aden is very likely
