Industry Minister directs to grant reward to workers who thwarted attempt to bring clothes made in Israel into Yemeni market

SANAA, Jul. 7 (YPA) – The Minister of Industry and Trade, Abdel-Wahab Al-Durra, directed to grant a financial reward to the workers at Al-Rahda outlet, for thwarting an attempt to smuggle and bring clothes made in the Zionist entity into the Yemeni market.

The Minister of Industry and Trade praised the efforts of the workers at the port from the Yemeni Organization for Standardization, Metrology, Quality Control, Security and Intelligence in thwarting the attempt to smuggle clothes.

He urged tightening procedures at ports and control centers and coordinating between customs, the Standards and Metrology Authority and the concerned authorities to prevent smuggling of any prohibited goods or merchandise.

Minister Al-Durra pointed out that the directive was directed to complete the investigation and refer the case to legal procedures, stressing that there will be no leniency in the right of anyone involved in smuggling operations that harm the country and its economy.
