16th International Meeting on Syria kicks off in Kazakhstan

SANAA, Jul. 7 (YPA) – The work of the sixteenth international meeting on Syria under the Astana formula kicked off on Wednesday morning in the Kazakh capital, Nur-Sultan, with the participation of the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic.

On Tuesday, the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic, headed by Dr. Ayman Susan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, arrived in Nur-Sultan to participate in the two-day meeting.

The final statement of the 15th international meeting of the Astana formula, which was held in the Russian city of Sochi on February 16-17, affirmed that the guarantor states renew their strong commitment to the sovereignty, unity and integrity of Syrian territory and the continuation of cooperation until the elimination of terrorist organizations there.
