Detainee commits suicide inside UAE-backed militias prison in Aden

ADEN, Dec. 14 (YPA) – A detainee inside a prison run by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) ‘s militias committed suicide on Sunday, local sources said.

According to the sources, one of the detainees in the security belt prison in Sheikh Othman sector committed suicide at 5 p.m.

The sources pointed out that the suicide came as in a protest against the security belt forces. They refused to release him and arrest comes without trial.

Other sources said that the detainee was tortured inside the security belt prison to death.

Dozens of detainees died under torture in the prisons of the pro-UAE militias in Aden.
