Settlers burn 400 olive trees south of Hebron

SANAA, Dec. 14 (YPA) – Settlers set fire to open Palestinian land in the south of the West Bank on Sunday evening, which led to the burning of about 400 olive trees.
According to the Palestinian Information Center, the coordinator of the Popular and National Committees for Resisting the Wall and Settlement, Ratib al-Jabour, stated that a group of settlers from “Mitzpe Yair” settlement attacked the fields of citizens in the area of ​​”Khallet al-Daba” in “Masafer Yatta” (south of Hebron).

Al-Jabour added that settlers threw suspicious objects that set fire to vast areas and burned more than 400 olive trees, belonging to the Dabbasa family.

He pointed out that the civil defense crews and the people put out the fires before they reached the homes of citizens.

The enemy forces establish about 503 settlement outposts, 474 of which are in the West Bank, and 29 in Jerusalem, the area of ​​which constitutes more than 46% of the total area of ​​the West Bank, in which about 700,000 settlers reside, who carry out almost daily attacks in the occupied Palestinian territories.
