Dozens of coalition troops killed on frontier fronts: Army spokesman
SANAA, Oct. 29 (YPA) – The Yemeni army’s spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sarie on Tuesday announced that dozens of Saudi-led coalition soldiers were killed and wounded by fire of the army and popular committees on the border frontlines.
“The coalition forces continued to escalate on the border fronts through continuous infiltration attempts under intense air cover during the past hours,” Brig. Sarie said in a statement.
He confirmed that all those infiltration attempts were foiled by the army forces backed by the popular committees and did not make any significant progress except a series of defeats and daily losses to the coalition forces.
The coalition warplanes also stepped up their raids during the past hours, waging more than 41 airstrikes on several areas of Saada and Hajjah provinces, the spokesman added.
