LAHJ, Aug. 05 (YPA) – A leader in the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions has led a gang that promotes hashish and blackmails underage girls in Lahj province, south of Yemen.
Human rights sources revealed that Issam Abdullah Awad Al-Dhalei, who impersonates a “lieutenant” in the “Fourth Support and Reinforcement Brigade” factions, was one of the most prominent individuals getting involved in these crimes.
The sources explained that Al-Dhalei, who lives in the Sabr area of Lahj, was placed in the “Iron Factory” detention center affiliated with the Al-Amaliqa or “Giants” factions, after his secret was exposed amid complaints from residents about spreading moral and societal toxins.
According to the sources, most of the leaders of the UAE-funded armed factions be involved in the hashish and drug trade, as well as spreading moral poison among members of society, exploiting their “military and security” influence.
