TEHRAN, Nov. 05 (YPA) – Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Major General Mohsen Rezaei, said on Wednesday that the Iranian nation had dealt US President Donald Trump a strategic defeat on the battlefield and in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as a political defeat in Washington.
In a post on X, Rezaei portrayed Republican losses in the US midterm elections as another consequence of Washington’s military confrontation with Tehran, saying American voters had been left to bear the financial costs of the war.
The Iranian nation handed Trump a strategic defeat on the battlefield and in the Hormuz—and a POLITICAL DEFEAT in Washington. Meanwhile, Americans got stuck with the bill for his war.
Anyone who takes on Iran will pay the price—from the battlefield to their own doorstep.— محسن رضایی (@ir_rezaee) November 4, 2026
