Over 130 trucks stranded as Saudi-backed forces block key Lahj-Taiz road

TAIZ, Nov. 05 (YPA) – Saudi-backed forces on Wednesday blocked the vital Karbah– Hayjat al-Abd Road, which links Lahj and Taiz governorates, preventing the passage of trucks carrying goods, food supplies, fuel and cooking gas.

A local source said the forces had stopped more than 30 trucks loaded with domestic gas, as well as over 100 others carrying goods and essential food supplies.

The trucks were stopped in the Al-Farsha area of Tur al-Bahah district in Lahj Governorate, the source added.

The blockade is worsening living conditions in Taiz and threatens to completely disrupt food and gas supplies in the coming days if the trucks remain stranded.
