Chairman of Supreme Revolutionary Committee issues statement responding to the British Foreign Secretary’s remarks
SANAA, March 4 (YPA) – Head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohamed Ali al-Houthi, has issued a fiery statement responding to the British Foreign Secretary’s threats to the return of a comprehensive war that has not stopped on the Yemeni people for four consecutive years.
In his statement, al-Houthi noted that Jeremy’s remarks are not arbitrary, but reveal the policy of Britain, the U.S. and their alliance in Yemen, and affirm the premeditated intention to repeat the Battle of Hodeidah.
He holds the U.S.-British-Saudi-Emirati aggression and its allies in Yemen responsible for consequences of their refusal to implement the Stockholm Agreement and obstructed the efforts of the International envoy, who did not give him any response conducive to his success.
The statement reads as follows:
Jeremy’s remarks are not arbitrary and they disclose the policy of Britain, America and their alliance in Yemen, as we said earlier on Twitter page, and confirm the premeditated intention to repeat the Battle of Hodeidah.
He accuses the Yemeni people, who reject the aggression with untrue allegations, to prepare the world opinion again for the battle, to promoting the failure of the Stockholm agreement, and to avoid the humanitarian impasse that has reached famine, as well as ignoring the blatant insistence of the leader of the revolution on the unilateral withdrawal of the States of aggression and their alliance.
Double standards policy in the media and politics is an inherent characteristic of this alliance that destroyed Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen with frivolous justifications that do not allow him to exterminate a people , starve and massacre their children, women and men, and target civilian objects with double strikes and violate the international and humanitarian law.
The Saudi-led has committed these crimes for two reasons: reviving the arms factories in the UK and U.S., changing region’s map in implementation of the usurper’s agenda and obsession with redivision.
We, therefore, affirm the following:
- We call upon the States of aggression to implement the Stockholm Agreement and to swap the real peace step announced by the leader of the revolution to unilaterally withdraw by a similar step, to demonstrate their seriousness in peace.
- We hold the United States of America, Saudi Arabia and its allies in Yemen responsible for any consequences of their refusal to implement the Stockholm Agreement and to obstruct the efforts of the International envoy, who has not given him any response conducive to his success.
- We hold the United States of America, Saudi Arabia and its allies in Yemen, responsible for the continued aggression and siege of Yemen, and the worsening of humanitarian conditions that led to famine.
We hereby reaffirm that the solution is peaceful and political and the continued aggression, blockade, the cut-off of salaries, the aerial ban and the banning of ships from gaining access to Hodeidah, as referred to in his last briefing, does not serve peace in Yemen will not reap any fruit no matter how long the coalition commits war crimes. However, it confirms the continuation of an approved policy of aggression against Yemen from the Quartet states (the US, UK, Saudi Arabia and UAE) as a project and an approach that is not ruled by the law or the humanitarian and human rights appeals.
