SANAA, Oct. 23 (YPA) – Dozen people of were killed and others were injured in a terrorist attack on a popular market in the southern Iraqi city of Ninawa, Iraqi security sources said on Tuesday.
There were conflicting reports about the terrorist attack on the Qarara popular market, about whether it was a car bomb or an improvised explosive device (IED), which killed and wounded in dozens of people, as well as causing material damage.
The source confirmed that blood donation campaigns were carried out by the people of Qayyara in the district to rescue the victims from the bombing.
Iraqi forces liberated the oil-rich Qarara area from the control of the terrorist organization ISIS in late August 2016.
Iraq declared its entire territory free of ISIS’s terrorist grip on December 10 December, after nearly three years of war.
