Two men found shot dead in Hadramout amid security deterioration

HADRAMOUT, July 26 (YPA) – Two men were found shot dead in mysterious circumstances in the historic city of Al-Hajrayn in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen, amid security deterioration in areas in areas controlled by Saudi-backed forces

A local human rights source said residents discovered the bodies of Mabrouk Al-Haddad and Salem Al-Bas on Friday evening inside an unfinished, open-roof structure near the Al-Hanjour area along the road leading to Al-Hajrayn .

The perpetrators and motive remain unknown.

Local activists attributed the increase in targeted killings to what they described as a persistent security vacuum in Wadi Hadramout districts, where Saudi-backed Emergency Forces are deployed.

In a separate development, Saudi military forces reportedly carried out a mysterious transfer of Salafist members from a center run by Yahya Al-Hajouri in the Shahouh neighborhood of Seiyun to another center operated by Hussein Al-Salahi in the Al-Khasha’a area.

Sources familiar with the matter said the Al-Hajouri center in Seiyun houses around 7,000 people from various Yemeni provinces, as well as a number of foreign nationals.

Meanwhile, activists affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council (STC) alleged that the centers are being used to facilitate “terrorist activities” in Wadi Hadramout.

The transfer has sparked widespread speculation over the motives behind the sudden relocation, which reportedly began before dawn on Thursday and continued through Friday evening, with no official explanation provided.
